A Quick History - Infiniti

Infiniti Logo
Infiniti is the luxury vehicle division of Nissan, located in Japan. It was introduced in 1989 to compete with Lexus and Acura. There actually isn't an Infiniti in Japan; they are all known as Nissan.

Right after introduction, sales were slow for the Infiniti brand. Marketing had actually decided to feature spots of traquility and nature to portray their vehicle, rather than actually showing the car. By the mid 90's, they were lagging behind the competition.

Infiniti continued to improve until their sales fell again in recent years. The Infiniti G series was accountable for about 60% of sales.
