Infiniti is the luxury vehicle division
of Nissan, located in Japan. It was introduced in 1989 to compete
with Lexus and Acura. There actually isn't an Infiniti in Japan; they
are all known as Nissan.

Right after introduction, sales were
slow for the Infiniti brand. Marketing had actually decided to
feature spots of traquility and nature to portray their vehicle,
rather than actually showing the car. By the mid 90's, they were
lagging behind the competition.
2000 Infiniti G20 |
Infiniti continued to improve until their sales fell again in recent years. The
Infiniti G series was accountable for about 60% of sales.
