Hummers were a brand of trucks and SUVs popular in the 90s and early 00s made by AM General and GM. They were originally designed under contract with the United States military. AM General decided to market the Hummer to the civilian market.
GM purchased the division in 1998, but the Hummer only continued for 10 more years.
